was running around in cobble hill yesterday when it started to pour – conveniently i was next to cafe pedlar. the pretzel with sweet butter was delicious as was the stumptown coffee.

++double bonus++stalactites at the smith and ninth street elevated station + a lady waiting for a train.

as part of my job i shoot a lot of bar and restaurant interiors – here’s a few recent ones. from top to bottom we have 1. la crepe parisienne in soho 2. sue perette on smith street 3. summit bar on avenue c 4. ontario in williamsburg and 5. double windsor in windsor terrace.

and like that the weekend is done – out of the 12 things i had planned i manged to accomplish about half. although the rain this morning was responsible for killing a couple of activities including a trip to governor’s island…

busy week(end) -> thursday shot a “so you think you can dance” tour in newark, nj. last night was a colt.45 party with Team Robespierre (seen above). today is soccer tacos in red hook, hanging in the park and then off to bushwick for the opening of the last supper festival (with a possible stop over at an abandoned ferry boat…). tomorrow is another restaurant shoot and then depending on the weather – hopefully it’ll be sunny – a trip out to Governor’s Island for the 1920’s dreamland orchestra lawn party/picnic.

after shooting the world’s most depressing “new” restaurant – seriously people, claiming that a dining room is a new restaurant is not cool – i was right by the staten island ferry. why not take a boat ride?

bonus *** a fish tank on staten island and a truck parked on whitehall stret. ***

“It’s a happy day for my stomach. The chicken tamale is succulent and piquant, with tasty shards of fowl. It’s an affordable, portable protein packet.” – Josh Berstein
went out to eat cheap eats with josh (who cracks me up) for a $1 dollar food feature – read more about it on metromix

busy weekend – stayed home on friday, shot a party on saturday and went to friend’s birthday on sunday afternoon…woot. for no real reason aside from continuity – here’s a bunch of photographs that feature the color pink. most of them where shot in park slope with the exception of the last one which was taken in carroll gardens.

shot through the window while riding the (F) train a couple of days ago – according to forgotten ny, the sign was lit with neon for many years.
