a couple of weeks ago, some friends and i rode bicycles to philadelphia over a long weekend. all in all the trip took two days of riding six hours a day at a fairly leisurely pace – i had certainly intended to take a few more pictures, i even brought along the big camera but somehow in the end it was just easier to shoot stuff with the phone. alas. also, though now that i know that the chinatown bus to philadelphia is $20 round trip for a 90 minute ride – i suspect that more trips to philadelphia might be in order as there are a number of things i’d still like to see such as the mutter museum and the eastern state penitentiary.

here we are at the ferry dock in manhattan waiting for the boat to take us over to atlantic highlands new jersey. i def packed way too much stuff, i did use most of it but in retrospect i could have gotten away with a lot less as biking with weight on the back of the bike def changed the game going up and down hills.

it’s the jersey shore! (where’s snookie?)

1:30pm – somewhere in jersey. gps was incredibly helpful, trying to do this trip with a regular map would have been a disaster.

taking a break, somewhere in south jersey.
