took a trip over to queens to see the hold steady play on a roof deck. it was a quick show but certainly a lot less crowded than the last time i saw them with 4k other fans in prospect park….

philly by bicycle
a couple of weeks ago, some friends and i rode bicycles to philadelphia over a long weekend. all in all the trip took two days of riding six hours a day at a fairly leisurely pace – i had certainly intended to take a few more pictures, i even brought along the big camera but somehow in the end it was just easier to shoot stuff with the phone. alas. also, though now that i know that the chinatown bus to philadelphia is $20 round trip for a 90 minute ride – i suspect that more trips to philadelphia might be in order as there are a number of things i’d still like to see such as the mutter museum and the eastern state penitentiary.
here we are at the ferry dock in manhattan waiting for the boat to take us over to atlantic highlands new jersey. Â i def packed way too much stuff, i did use most of it but in retrospect i could have gotten away with a lot less as biking with weight on the back of the bike def changed the game going up and down hills.

banksy in ny
exit through the gift shop, the film from banksy, recently opened in many of the major markets here in the us. in support of the film, the artist has been traveling across the country putting up some new pieces. new york was the final stop on the tour and also the one city who’s inhabitants destroyed the pieces almost immediately.

golden moments
rode the train out to williamsburg w/ brett to listen to the new record as it was being mastered. the train lets you out right next to the half completed / half abandoned building so we took a moment to look around as the sun set.
