idiotarod
this was the 4th or 5th version of the idiotarod that i’ve seen / photographed and was clearly the most poorly organized and mismanaged but as some commentators pointed out – the organizational aspect of the race is a bit of hot potato due to potential ramifications. that being said – the course, by design, could have been better in my opinion.

cruised by a new bbq restaurant in park slope last week – t’was a good looking space and def some tasty bbq.Β will be interesting to see what happens when dinosaur (shoutouts for catering my wedding!) opens an outpost across the street.

the dressing room & michel nischan
got the chance to hang out w/ chef and activist michel nischan – such an amazing guy doing some really good work.Β we drove up to his restaurant in connecticut, ate some lunch, shot some portraits and food and then headed out to his place for some petanque and epic sunsetting action.

polar bear!
after years of thinking about it w/ varying degrees of seriousness, i finally made it down to coney island on new years days for the annual polar bear swim.Β this years crowd seemed especially large, perhaps spurred on by abundant sunshine and higher than normal temperatures.

2011 – part 1
2011 was a wild ride – so many great memories and moments, here are a few of my favorites in no particular order.Β as always, thanks for coming by the site, dropping me line, following me on instagram, joking around on twitter and most of all, hiring me to shoot the amazing variety of assignments i shot this past year. from the hottest new kitchens, to chic runway, from street art in dirty corners of brooklyn, to the front row of sold out shows – thanks!
